i'm listening to: the tv playing bridget jones's diary: the edge of reason

i'm feeling: gah my freakin' eye!!

well yes, plenty has happened in the past few days. firstly, i am now a seventeen year old, with a pay rise and freakin' throbbing eye. my birthday was alright, not that interesting. just went to school and yeah, fun. anyways yes i am now a few 357 days until i am 18 and legal. so yes, interesting huh?

it's been more than a week since that day. there's been issues at work, which i won't go into as it is all confidential. i've also received countless amounts of assignments, oral presentations, drafts of everything. i'm going to go back to my old habits, of working into the early hours of the morning with about 3-4 hours of sleep per night. it is not nice and i don't want it.

thank you to all the people who greeted me on my birthday, fuck you to all who didn't. just kidding. haha i don't mean it. anyways yeah school has been good, not the work but yes, i've been making friends and i've been invited to two parties next month. HA! fuck you people who thought i would suck at school.

anyways, i have to now do my tourism speech. we had to go into pairs and do a role-play on different cultures and stuff. yeah lucky for me, i get to go with ben. haha he's awesome and our role-plays are gonna be psycho ones. "hello people of different cultures. welcome to australia" with crazy hand actions and over acting. i am screwed for english and everything. damnit i just wanna sleep all day and run around.

oh yes, we also had our swimming carnival. it's funny because no one in year 12 takes it seriously. they just do flips in and paddle around and just muck around in the races. like in one of the races, the guys all went into one lane and just paddled to the end. it's like that too in the athletics one. people get dressed up and everything, it's so interesting. i love all the different costumes.

anyways, that's my life so far haha. watching bridget jones and trying to make my script not suck. love you all haha and wish i was still there with you.
